Tim brings a background in combat sports, tactical training, and years of hands-on experience with many of the subjects covered on this site.
The goal is not to pretend that any one person has the final word on law enforcement, tactics, equipment, or public safety.
Instead, 1096 Tactical Review draws from practical experience, research, official information, manufacturers, trainers, public records, law enforcement sources, and the circumstances surrounding each subject.
When new information changes the picture, the analysis should change with it.
Why “Review”?
The word review means more here than product reviews.
1096 Tactical Review exists to review the wider world of law enforcement.
The equipment officers carry.
The technology departments adopt.
The incidents captured on body cameras.
The tactical decisions made under pressure.
The policies that shape police work.
And the culture surrounding the people who do it.
Sometimes that means reviewing a flashlight.
